The area surrounding Résidence Le Petit Chatelet is packed full of many of the things that you'll want to see. We are in the 1st arrondissement, which is home to The Louvre, the Tuileries Garden, and many more world-famous attractions. Because we're at the very centre of Paris, it's easy to find all the places you want to visit. Read below to find out more about the local area.
Access and transport
Our fantastic Petit Chatelet offers quick access from most of the terminals and stations in Paris. Below are directions to reach us from each major transport terminal.
From Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport: You can take a direct suburban train (RER) to the center of Paris without any changes. Take the RER B to Châtelet les Halles station. This metro and RER station is the largest in Paris. It has many exits. Take the exit “Place Sainte Opportune” and you will be very close to the Petit Châtelet.
From Orly airport: Take the Orlyval, a dedicated train from the terminal which will take you to a station on the RER B. Then take the RER Bto Châtelet les Halles station, and exit at “Place Sainte Opportune”.
From Montparnasse train station: Take the metro line M4 towards Porte de Clignancourt and get off at Châtelet station.
From Gare du Nord: Take the metro line M4 in the direction of Mairie de Montrouge to Châtelet station or by RER B to Châtelet-les-Halles station.
From Gare de l'Est train station: Take metro line M4towards Mairie de Montrouge and get off at Châtelet station.
From Gare de Lyon: Take the metro line M14 towards Olympiades. From here you are 1 station from Châtelet station.
From Saint-Lazare train station: Take the metro line M14 towards Saint Lazare and get off at Châtelet station.
By road: If you come by road, with your personal car or a rental car, there are several underground parking lots in the vicinity of Petit Châtelet. The cheapest is the one located under the Forum des Halles. The price is around 19 euros for 24 hours (request a day pass at the cash desk). For more information, visit the site. If you wish, you can first drop off your luggage by stopping at the very start of rue des Halles, right next to the trees and then drop off your car at the car park.
